Kathryn Vaughan MSW RSW
Kathryn Vaughan has a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and brings over 18 years of experience to the field of mental health. Kathryn is passionate about working with clients to help them to overcome challenges, build resilience, and find balance in their lives.
In addition to her private practice, Kathryn works in outpatient mental health at McMaster Hospital. She is trained and experienced in several evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Skills Training (EFST), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also brings training and experience in Internal Family Systems (IFS). She thoughtfully integrates these approaches to create personalized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
Kathryn works with both youth and adults, fostering a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their emotions and experiences with trust and openness. She specializes in helping individuals navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues and major life transitions.
Kathryn is committed to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Kathryn is a licensed social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a proud member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
